"Dear Mr. Figueira,
First of all, I would like to say that I enjoyed our conversation and I would like to thank you for showing interest in my study.
I will herewith provide you with some more information about my study.
For your information, the two main goals of my study are the following:
1) To uncover the most important criteria applied by sport fishermen to select a specific destination for their international fishing trip.
2) To reveal the attractiveness of various well-developed popular sport fishing locations, such as Mexico and Panama, as well as some practically unknown virgin destinations like Oman and Angola, which both have the potential to become tomorrow’s next hot spots.
In total the overall attractiveness, as well as the strengths and weaknesses of 11 big game fishing destinations is researched.
I intend to perform my data collection by means of a survey, which needs to be distributed internationally to as many fishermen as possible through various media, like magazines and websites. During our telephone conversation you kindly offered to place an article in the web site and forum. In this article I would like to invite readers to participate in my survey, which they can do online (www.fishingtourismstudy.org).
Please find attached already my draft article.
You also suggested to have the article translated in Portuguese and Spanish and I believe that would be a very good idea. The survey is in English as well though, will this be a problem?
Please let me know whether publication of this item will be possible and if so, when would be the first opportunity. My data collection period runs until the beginning of June.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards,
Roderick Jongschaap"

Unique study about international sport fishing:
Where to go and why?
Being an enthusiastic Big Game fisherman I have dealt with many international fishing travel agencies throughout the years and it appeared to me that it is hardly known which criteria are used by sport fishermen to select a destination for their international fishing trip.
Moreover there seems to be a general lack of a well-founded and structured review of today’s fishing vacation destinations, highlighting each location’s strengths and weaknesses in comparison to other destinations as seen from the traveling angler’s perspective.
In order to fill in this gap of information, I have taken the initiative, with support of several international sport fishing organizations and associations, such as the International Game Fish Association (IGFA) in Florida USA, and guidance from professors of the Erasmus University at Rotterdam The Netherlands, to undertake a large-scale scientifically based research study with two main objectives:
1) To uncover the most important criteria applied by sport fishermen to sound the appeal of a specific destination for their international fishing trip.
2) To reveal the attractiveness of various well-developed popular sport fishing locations, such as Mexico and Panama, as well as some practically unknown virgin destinations like Oman and Angola, which both have the potential to become tomorrow’s next hot spots.
The most interesting findings and conclusions from this study will be published will be revealed in [YOUR SITE & MAGAZINE] around september this year.
To encourage you to make your contribution in this research project, you will have a chance of being rewarded a fantastic 22” bronze Blue Marlin sculpture offered by the main sponsor of this project, the world famous Australian wild life sculptor Bodo Muche.
